This years ornament is a replica of an ornament that hangs on my parents Christmas Tree. Every year, I always look forward to decorating their tree during our Thanksgiving visit. It's a treasured holiday tradition. Each year I love unwrapping each ornament and recalling all the memories that go along with it. Each one has a story. Each one has a precious memory associated with it. So, this year I recreated the "Bird's Nest" that was made by a family friend Helen McNulty. She has long passed her time on this earth but her spirit lives on the branches of my parents Christmas Tree. I have always loved that ornament. Now I have a my own for my tree!

2008 Family Christmas Ornament

That is beautiful and you are so crafty. I buy those cute ornaments from stores or friends who make them:)
We add an ornament to the girls collection every year and a couple of years ago I gave the girls a bird nest for their collection.
